Interventional pain specialist Giuseppe G.F. Paese, D.O., FAAPMR has joined Holy Cross Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician employed group of more than 130 physicians providing services throughout Broward County.
Before joining Holy Cross Medical Group, he was medical director of Ageless Health & Surgery Center. Previously, he specialized in interventional pain medicine and rehabilitation at Florida Spine & Sports Specialists, where he also served as Interventional Spine/Sports Fellowship Director.
Dr. Paese began his storied career following graduation from Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC). He opened Paese Chiropractic Center in Lapeer, Michigan where he treated back and neck pain and sports injuries for six years. Dr. Paese then became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) from the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago. He returned to school to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from Michigan State University in Lansing and upon graduation interned at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. As a sports medicine physician at The Knee & Orthopedic Center in Lapeer, he treated sports injuries, arthritis and chronic and acute back pain; administered injections and epidurals; assisted on knee, hip and shoulder replacements; and lectured at community and hospital education events.
While completing his Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Residency and ACGME Anesthesia Pain Medicine Fellowship at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Paese was a physiatrist at a private practice in Lapeer, treating patients with musculoskeletal issues. He was then named Medical Director and Physiatrist at Communicare, an outpatient traumatic brain injury rehabilitation center in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Dr. Paese then accepted a job in Warren, Michigan as Director of Pain Medicine at Mendelson & Kornblum Orthopedics, where he treated patients with spinal disorders before opening Somerset Regenerative Medicine in Troy, where he was medical director and owner. He also completed the Metabolic Medical Institute/ American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine Stem Cell Fellowship.
When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Paese is teaching the next generation of physicians as a clinical instructor with the Broward Health North Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Residency Program, Lincoln Memorial University’s DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Board certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine, American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and The Metabolic Medical Institute, Dr. Paese also is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (FAAPMR). He is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, American Osteopathic Association, American Pain Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, International Spine Interventional Society and International Association for the Study of Pain.
Over the years, Dr. Paese has participated in research and trials for epidural administration for lumbar radiculopathy, lumbar spinal stenosis, sacroiliac joint fusion, Minuteman implants for degenerative disc disease and spondylolisthesis, stem cell injections and chronic pain, emotions and opioid medication.
