Ruby Ellis, age 80, of Graceville, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 26, 2024 in Panama City, Florida.
Ruby’s life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of relationships. She was a loving mother, a cherished grandmother, a beloved sister, and a friend to many. Her son, Curtis Ellis, Sr., and her grandson, Curtis Ellis, Jr., both of Graceville, Florida, carry forward her nurturing spirit. Ruby’s sisters, Angela Brown and Valaris Brown Robinson, along with her brother, Michael Brown, all of Panama City, Florida, will forever hold dear the memories of their sister’s boundless compassion. A constellation of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also bask in the glow of her memory, each one touched by Ruby’s generous heart.
Ruby’s life was a canvas upon which she painted with the vibrant colors of kindness and care. Her vocation as a housekeeper was more than a job; it was her way of bringing comfort and peace into the lives of others. Ruby’s hands, ever busy in the service of those around her, were instruments of her loving soul. A celebration of life will be at 6:30 PM, Friday, January 3, 2025 in the M. Sue & Rodney D. Pittman Memorial Chapel in Graceville. Interment will be in the Graceville Community Cemetery. All services are under directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida.
