Emma was a retired educator where she dedicated herself to teaching, influencing and inspiring countless students throughout her career.
She was of the Baptist faith and a former member of Buckhorn Missionary Baptist Church. She later moved to Donalsonville and united with Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where she actively participated in the choir and missionaries’ ministries. She also served as the treasurer of the Seminole County Chapter of the NAACP and was an enthusiastic supporter of Florida A&M University and Ebony Fashion Shows.
