SENSE OF COMMUNITY: QUEBEC AND CANADA UNITE TO SUPPORT VENEZUELA

Last week, the Québec Government Office in Miami and the Consulate General of Canada in Miami took action to support the Venezuelan community, which was severely affected by the twin earthquakes that struck San Felipe, Venezuela, on June 24.

The Government of Quebec emphasizes that in South Florida, home to approximately 340,000 Venezuelans, this outpouring of solidarity reminds us that being part of a community means being there for one another, especially in times of distress, and that no one is alone.

Through their volunteer participation in a relief effort, the governments of Quebec and Canada emphasize that the strength of a community is measured by its ability to respond when its members need support.
