The Jackson County Times received the following press release from the Florida Highway Patrol.
No one was injured in a collision between a school bus and a car Friday morning (February 28, 2025) at 6:40 a.m. on State Road 69 at Hepsie Lane in Jackson County.
A sedan driven by an 18-year-old Grand Ridge man was northbound on State Road 69. A school bus driven by a 61-year-old Grand Ridge woman was also northbound on State Road 69.
The bus stopped to load children and driver of the sedan failed to stop and collided with the rear of the bus.
Both vehicles came to rest at the area of collision facing north. There were 15 children onboard and there were no injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Jackson County Fire Rescue.
