The City of Marianna remains in negotiations with the Southern Group on the sale of the Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center.
The original offer made by the Southern Group was for $21,500,000.00. This offer included all accounts receivable on the closing date of the sale to go to the buyer. City Manager William
Long told the commission this was not the City’s intention to include the accounts receivable, leaving the city with all accounts receivable (A/R) on the books at the time of the sale date. Southern Group made a revised buying price of $20,500,000, with the A/R as of sale date staying with the city. The commission agreed to move on with the sale of MH&R to Southern Group with the adjusted price of $20,500,000.
