Sybil E. Griffin, 87, of Sneads, Florida died Friday, July 19, 2024.
She was born May 23, 1937 in Columbia, SC to Raymond and Daisey Bell. She faithfully served the Lord as a wife, mother, grandmother, and pastor’s wife. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always ready to make them laugh. She never missed an opportunity to remind her grands she could be just as sassy as they could be. To know Sybil was to love her and she was always able to light up any room she was in.
Sybil was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Rev. Henry M. Griffin; parents, Raymond and Daisey Bell Kyzer Griffin; son, Gary Griffin; an infant daughter; siblings, Kenny Moody, Raymond “Bubba” Moody, and Alma Birchmore.
She is survived by children, Robin Grinstead, Charles (Sherri) Griffin; grandchildren, Andrea and Ryan Grinstead, Tyler Griffin, Hilary, Dean, and Mason Suber, Ashley and Matthew Griffin, Amanda Vickers; great-grandchildren, James and Ryleigh Grinstead, Malcolm Suber, Brantley, Luke, Colt, Ava, and Chase Berrier, Savanah and Elizabeth Stewart, Ivy Vickers; and brother, Bert Moody.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice.
James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
