Kathy Watson


Kathy Watson, 72, of Cottondale, Fl, went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2025.

Kathy was born January 1, 1953 to Lenzy and Lou Corbin. She grew up in Chipley, Florida and graduated from Chipley High School in 1971. After high school she married the love of her life, Fred Watson. Fred and Kathy have been married for 54 years. They settled down and started their family in Chipley where Kathy went on to become a hair dresser enjoying making the women of Washington and Jackson County beautiful while providing beauty expertise. 

Kathy loved her family dearly and took immense pride in especially her husband and children, and always showed her pride and joy when it came to her grandchildren. She never met a stranger and always had extra life tips and advice for anyone who met her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lenzy Corbin and sister Debra Weathington.  She is survived by her mother Louetta Corbin of Chipley, Fl; her husband, Fred Watson of Cottondale, Fl.; her son, Jamie Watson and wife Mini of Tallahassee, FL; her daughter, Haley Watson of Cottondale, Fl.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Will Watson and wife Emily, Trent Watson, Rylee Emmanuel, Emmalee Emmanuel; and hers siblings: Lynn Spicer and husband Wayne, Donald Corbin and wife Dolores.

Services will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11:00 am at Obert’s Funeral Home with visitation an hour prior. Graveside services will be immediately following at Sapp Church cemetery.
